Cold Pressed Hempseed Oil Roasts with Hempseed Oil

Cold Pressed Hemp Seed Oil

Hempseed Oil has a light nutty flavour. It is the product of cold pressing natural raw hempseed without heating or refining. It is used in cooking, baking, salad dressings and sauces. It took Braham & Murray five years to develop the worlds first shelf stable, culinary hempseed oil. It now has twelve years consumer approval and has redefined the uses of one of nature’s healthiest oils.

Hempseed oil contains high amounts of γ-linolenic acid (GLA) and stearidonic acid (SDA), the biologic metabolites of linoleic (LA/Omega 6) and alfa-linoleic acid (ALA/ Omega 3), respectively, which none of the other commonly used culinary oils contain. Due to metabolic competition between these two Essential Fatty Acids for access to the Δ-6 desaturase to convert LA and ALA to γ-linolenic acid (GLA) and stearidonic acid (SDA), respectively, the presence of both GLA and SDA in hempseed oil allows this enzymatic step with Δ-6-desaturase to be efficiently bypassed.

In other words, the Omega 3 and GLA in hemp are effective. And just 10ml of hempseed oil delivers the same amount of GLA as 6 Evening Primrose Oil capsules. The same 10ml gives us our entire recommended daily intake of Omega 3. Which, because it comes from hemp, our bodies are able to use.
